Turtle and Midnight's Second Chance: Can you help?

life before!

life now they are rescued!

Where Turtle and Midnight resided before being rescued by a very caring Mary! Turtle and Midnight have spent the last 12 months in a tiny cage by the side of the road, standing on 4cm of their own droppings and getting no play time. They have been terrorised by dogs and been given no care or love from anyone except the comfort they have given each other.

A kind woman, Mary, has rescued them and taken the scared little girls into her home. But she already has 2 rescue rabbits, other animals and ihas suffered illness. She has too much on her plate to take them in permanently but has done such a wonderful job so far.

Sydney Pet Rescue and Adoption are helping Mary come up with the funds to desex these beauties and vaccinate against the Calici Virus so they can be rehomed and have a second chance at a happy, healthy life.
We are also looking for anyone interested in fostering or adopting contact Clare: bunnybooksydney@hotmail.com or 0405175511

You can donate here- even just 2 dollars so these guys have a better chance at forever happiness!

Thank you!

VIC: Still looking for homes- Rupert and Evie

Adorable lovers Rupert and Evie.

Rupert and Evie's mum is moving to Queensland for her job- sadly there are no bunnies allowed there (they incur a huge fine and are put to sleep) so she has to leave them behind.

These very loved companions are adorable and follow each other around, Evie is very protective of Rupert and they are such a joy to watch together.

Rupert has some special needs to do with his teeth but just requires an injection each week- his mum is supplying 5 months worth for him. Besides that they are healthy and happy and come desexed and vaccinated.

They need urgent help and can be either adopted or fostered by a caring person who can make them part of the family indoors. Even if you are not in Melb, let us know if you can help.

You can contact me for more info on bunnybooksydney@hotmail.com or Suzanne who is helping rehome them on: she_suz@yahoo.com.au

Urgent: Turtle and Midnight are looking for love!

But she already has 2 rescue rabbits, other animals and is suffering from cancer. She has too much on her plate to take them in permanently but has done such a wonderful job so far.

We are looking for some kind, caring people to take the two girls in short term or long term and provide a safe indoor space and let them adjust to a more comfortable, secure lifestyle (not in a cage!)

Beautiful Cherry!

Cherry.

Impound Number

M2011084

Desexed

Fee

 $50

Cherry is at one of the most outstanding shelters in Australia:The Sydney Dogs and Cats Home. These wonderful people are part of the Getting 2 Zero Movement which aims to have a no kill policy for animals going through the system and concentrates more on getting the images and stories of the animals out so they can be rehomed. Please, if you are looking to support a larger shelter, choose these guys over the RSPCA and remember that their adoption fees are higher because they do not get the immense funding RSPCA do and need your support more.

Adopt Belle: Cuddliest and Most Astoundingly Talented at Binkies

Belle. Cuddliest bunny! Belle is waiting for her forever home- very patiently- she has had a lot of interest but it still gracing her rescuers with her warm and lovely presence. She wants a family who will take her on the couch to watch TV or give her a cuddle under the covers. She also dreams of a grassy backyard where she can do her daily acrobatics (leaps, twists and really fast runs) and have adventures! She likes to have the best of all worlds and she deserves it.

Belle was surrendered to the pound- in other words her owners didn't want her. That breaks our heart- who wouldn't want the cuddliest, best mannered, tidiest, most astoundingly talented jumping rabbit in their home? Not to mention sophisticated, dignified and silky to the touch! If you are interested in helping Belle, giving her a second chance or sponsoring her time in foster care then please e-mail bunnybooksydney@hotmail.com or call Clare from Sydney Pet Rescue and Adoption on 0405175511

Belle is currently staying in a garden flat in Dulwich Hill, Sydney.

Belle:

Belle is a calm, cuddly possum. She is a sophisticated blue-grey Chinchilla rabbit in her first years of life. Her previous owners surrendered her to the pound much to our shock as she is the most kindly mannered, sweet hearted girl with so much love to give. Put her on the grass outside and she'll express all her joys with binkies (literal jumps, leaps and flips which express extreme happiness) and will flop out, snuggled into her own fur when she is relaxing inside. She is very clean, litter trained and enjoys playing with her toys- we think shes a smart girl! She will cuddle with you on the couch or in bed and would make a beautiful companion.

Belle would like to find a home with people who can make her part of their family and that can give her daily cuddles and playtime. Can you give this special girl a second chance?

Belle comes desexed, vaccinated and is litter trained and very clean. She enjoys oxbow pellets and fresh oaten hay and fresh vegetables from her foster's garden :)

Leia:
Leia came to the pound as a stray before she came to us. She has really come out of her shell to reveal a rascally but adorable bunny who needs lots of love and affection. Sit with Leia and she'll jump all over you, and sniff around your face, ears and if she can make it up onto your shoulders and onto your back she will! She has lots of energy for a girl whose endured some tough trials. Though curious and seemingly mischievous, she is very well behaved, litter trained and not very fussy. She is happy as long as someone is loving her. She'll give lots of attention to you in return and will amaze you with her funny quirks.

Leia would like to find a home where she is made part of the family and not confined to a small hutch or cage. She'd make a wonderful companion if someone could give her, her turn at a second chance.

Leia is desexed and vaccinated. She is litter trained and very clean too!!

Contact bunnybooksydney@hotmail.com to enquire about fostering of adopting Leia.

Female/ Breed Unknown/ Chinchilla coat/ Younger bun

Belle came to us from the pound where she was surrendered by her previous owners. I find it hard to know why someone would surrender such a gorgeous creature with such nice manners, such a pretty face and fluffy chinchilla coat! She has a mild temperament and is still a little shy at the moment. We think she'll come out of her shell to be a rascally but snuggley bunny.

She is residing with us in Dulwich Hill for now, but hopefully this soon to be cuddle bear will be someones new best friend.

Bronte.

Female/Breed: /Age: under 6 months old.

Bronte is an adorable white bunny rescued off a Sydney highway by a concerned bunny lover- Talia. She has been raised indoors and has a bit of a fear about being outside perhaps left over from her days of abandonment near the busy highway. She is super social, cuddly and like to lick and play. She is a little shy at the moment but might like a companion to play with. She is not suitable for children under 13 or other larger animals. She is looking for a loving, patient, bunny-savvy or eager to learn home who is happy to house her indoors as a family member, preferably with a mostly free range lifestyle. She is litter trained and will be desexed, vaccinated and vet checked. Bronte is currently with Talia in Lawson, The Blue Mountains.

Easter Bunnies Looking for Love

RABBIT numbers at the RSPCA's Mornington animal shelter have hopped to holiday highs as Easter approaches.
As a result of the influx, one of the centre's volunteers has built a new rabbit-proof enclosure which allows the bunnies to socialise and stretch their legs. The RSPCA is looking to find each rabbit a new family. Read more here.
